Bunge, Donald
Donald Bunge is the Kenya country manager for Project Ngulia a tech for conservation initiative of Linkoping University based at the University of Nairobi. Donald has been with the Project since Sept 2021, and is responsible for all the operations of the project.
Previously, for eighteen years he was the head of Mt Kenya Wildlife Conservancy, an NGO involved in:
- Breeding and reintroduction of the critically endangered mountain Bongo. He was a Kenya National Bongo Conservation Taskforce member and co-authored two scientific papers. .
- Conservation education for school and community groups hosting 20,000 individuals per year for participatory consevation talks and activities.
- Wildlife rescue and rehabilition facility/animal Orphanage.
He has also been:
- The Chairman of VUMA a community-based organization involved in advocacy on youth Aids and the environment.
- Board of Management member, Nanyuki Garrison High School.
- Executive treasurer, Water Users Association.
Donald is BSC/MSc Wildlife conservation Management, Moi University Kenya.
