Overview: Explore Konza Technopolis, a cornerstone of Kenya’s Vision 2030 initiative aimed at creating a smart city and innovation hub. This tour offers an insightful look into the technological advancements and economic growth strategies being employed. Delegates will engage directly with top Kenyan startups, participate in a tree-planting activity, and explore the city’s innovative infrastructure solutions including water and waste management systems.

Focus: Visit the state-of-the-art IoT Lab developed with Tianjin City Vocational College, and the Jitume Digital Enablement Program hub. This tour presents a unique opportunity to interact with global IoT challenge winners and learn about digital initiatives aimed at empowering Kenyan citizens with essential ICT skills for the digital economy. 

 

2. Empowering SMEs: A glimpse into KIRDI’s R&D Initiatives
