1. Nairobi National Museum – Karen Blixen Museum – Nairobi Gallery (6 hours)
Nairobi National Museum
Established in 1910, the Nairobi National Museum was modernised in 2005 and reopened in 2008 with permanent galleries showcasing Kenya’s heritage. Originally a small collection site, it has become a world-class facility.
Karen Blixen Museum
The Karen Blixen Museum, established in 1986 in her former home, highlights the life of Danish author Karen Blixen and her time in Kenya, as depicted in “Out of Africa”. The museum, featuring her original farmhouse and belongings, offers insights into her life and colonial Kenya.
Nairobi Gallery
Originally built in 1913 as the Native Ministry, the Nairobi Gallery later served as a colonial courthouse before becoming a museum in 2005. It now displays collections from Joseph and Sheila Murumbi and promotes local artists through educational programs.

2. Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Orphanage – Giraffe Centre – Nairobi Animal Orphanage (5 hours)
Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Orphanage
The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, established 45 years ago in Nairobi, is renowned for its pioneering Orphans’ Project, the world’s first successful elephant orphan rescue and rehabilitation program. Open for one hour daily, visitors can learn about its conservation efforts and meet elephant orphans.
Giraffe Centre
Founded in 1979, the Giraffe Centre was established to protect the Rothschild Giraffe and has successfully reintroduced several pairs into national parks. Only 20km from Nairobi, It now operates as a tourist and educational site where visitors can feed giraffes and see roaming warthogs.
Nairobi Animal Orphanage
The Nairobi Animal Orphanage in Nairobi National Park rehabilitates orphaned and injured wildlife, such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. It also serves as a conservation education centre, offering guided tours and game viewing to promote wildlife preservation.

3. Nairobi National Park (4 hours)
