Karine Guilbault has been the general manager of Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole since the spring of 2022.
Holder of a master’s degree in management sciences and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, her specialty is marketing. She has been working in economic development since 2007, successively holding the positions of entrepreneurship commissioner and industrial commissioner at the CLD Les Maskoutains and industrial development director at Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole, before taking on her current role.
Karine Guilbault oversees the development of Saint-Hyacinthe’s agri-food innovation ecosystem, considered one of the largest of its kind in the country. As such, she runs the City of Agri-Food Innovation technology park and ensures its development. Her main duties at Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole are to represent the organization in dealings with foreign investors, to help agri-food business research and development teams get set up in the region and to support the growth of businesses.
Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole is the entity in charge of economic development in the Les Maskoutains regional county municipality. Karine Guilbault’s job is to attract new businesses, whether industrial or commercial. She is also responsible for promoting and developing tourism (especially business tourism) and the agri-food sector, as well as attracting talent.
