Scott Levitan is the CEO & President of the Research Triangle Foundation of NC. He has over 30 years of experience in mixed-use development, with an emphasis in university-related research parks. Under his leadership in 2020, RTF broke ground on Hub RTP, RTP’s new vibrant downtown destination featuring residential units, office and retail space, a hotel and more. RTP entered a new era of transformation under Scott’s guidance, solidifying its reputation as the anchor for innovation in the Triangle and collaborating with the region and state to land Apple in 2021.

In recognition of his achievements, Scott received the CEO of the Year & C-Suite Award from the Triangle Business Journal in 2021. Prior to his current role, he held key positions such as Development Director for the Science & Technology Park at Johns Hopkins, Executive Director of Real Estate Development at Georgia Tech and Director of University and Commercial Real Estate at Harvard University. Scott holds a master’s degree in urban design, a master’s in conservation studies and a bachelor’s in architecture. Scott is active and has served in several real estate and economic development organizations, including AURP, IASP, QTSP and the chambers of commerce for Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill-Carrboro.
