Muriithi, Ruth

Ruth is a visionary leader and seasoned professional in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. Currently, she serves as the Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Management, the Head of Dedan Kimathi Science and Technology Park, and the Head of the DeKUT-KFC Animation, Gaming, and Film Hub at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT). In her role as Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Management, Ruth oversees the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem. She is responsible for creating programs that encourage creativity, support startup growth, and drive economic development within the university and the wider community. As the Head of Dedan Kimathi Science and Technology Park, Ruth plays a crucial role in advancing technological innovation and industry collaboration. She works tirelessly to attract and nurture cutting-edge tech companies and research initiatives, providing a dynamic environment where academia and industry can collaborate to solve real-world challenges.

In addition to these roles, Ruth also leads the DeKUT-KFC Animation, Gaming, and Film Hub. Under her leadership, the Hub has become a premier center for digital creativity and storytelling, offering state-of-the-art facilities and resources to students and professionals in the animation, gaming, and film industries. Ruth is dedicated to promoting Kenya’s digital content industry on a global stage and supporting the next generation of creative talent. With a strong background in business administration and strategic management, Ruth has a proven track record of driving innovation and fostering entrepreneurial success. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration (Strategic Management), and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Administration and Management and has over seventeen (17) years of experience in banking, administration and innovation management.
