Yaruq is a multi-award-winning innovation professional who’s currently spearheading the Innovation & Partnerships at National Science & Technology Park (NSTP). He has been instrumental in driving the Park’s launch and expansion though academia-industry linkages, incubation and acceleration programs, effective policy and performance frameworks, strategic partnerships, and joint initiatives.

He recently led the US Embassy powered Rising Stars Startup Competition (RSSC) for Minorities and Women to create an inclusive and equitable entrepreneurial ecosystem in Pakistan. The nationwide programme impacted 800+ individuals from 52+ cities all over the country.

Yaruq specializes in idea validation, business modelling, and startup pitching and has contributed to the development of university curricula for entrepreneurial education. Through his efforts, the NSTP team has facilitated revenue generation and startup funding of PKR 20+ billion and PKR 12+ billion, conceptualized 300+ startups, and created 6,500+ jobs over the last four years alone.

He has a Master’s Degree in Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management from Imperial College London, United Kingdom and is also a recipient of the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship.
