Discover the Cartuja Science and Technology Park
The Cartuja Science and Technology Park is the first international example of re-use of premises inherited from a universal exhibition (Expo ’92) in an urban space that links the university, science and business. Its success is reflected in its motto: innovate, collaborate, grow, and at IASP Seville we’ll have this hub of innovation right on the doorstep of our conference venue.
What really constitutes the heart of the Cartuja STP are its over 500 science and tech-based companies and organisations, that employ almost 24,000 people. Its main sectors are telecommunications and IT, energy and environment, agrifood and biotechnology, engineering and electronics, and the tech tour will give you the chance to learn more about who they are and what they do, as well as getting an overview of zones dedicated to culture, leisure and sport.
Filled with the striking architecture of the Expo ’92, you’ll also get a first-hand look at how the site was redeveloped as a science park, the innovative green initiatives already in place, and create new business opportunities for your companies.
The tour will give an overview of the whole PCT Cartuja campus and its main residents, and includes a visit to the Tech Incubator Marie Curie and the chance to learn more about two of its key urban sustainability projects, CartujaQanat and eCitySevilla.
Tech tours will take place on September 27th and last approximately 90 minutes. Please indicate when registering for IASP Seville if you’ll be participating!
