Thongmunee, Suriyah

Dr. Suriyah Thongmunee is the Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Park (STeP) and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Chiang Mai University. With a background in civil engineering and science management, he has held significant roles at Chiang Mai University for 10 years. Dr. Thongmunee is responsible for managing multiple laboratories and pilot plants, focusing on infrastructure and facility management. His expertise includes technology transfer, research-to-market initiatives, and collaboration innitiatives among public, private and community. He has collaborated extensively with national and international partners to promote industrial innovation and the commercialization of new technologies.

At the upcoming 41st IASP World Conference on Science Parks and Areas of Innovation, Dr. Thongmunee will discuss “Driving Economic Growth through University Science Parks: A Case Study of STeP, CMU.” He is eager to engage with fellow professionals and explore new avenues for collaborative research and industrial partnerships. Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Thongmunee enjoys exploring new experiences in other countries and has a passion for trail running.
